In conjunction with the Season of Creation 2025, themed Peace with Creation, Caritas Penang, Creation Justice Commission, Penang Diocesan Youth Network and Penang Refugee Network will be co-organising a Neighbourhood Clean-up to raise awareness on caring for our common home. This initiative reflects the season’s call to restore peace and justice to the Earth, inspired by Isaiah 32:14-18, addressing the harm caused by human actions to Creation.
What to bring:
- Face mask
- Cotton hand glove
- Bring your own water tumbler
- Umbrella (in case raining)
- Litter picker or metal tong (pick rubbish)
Dress code: Casual and sport shoe.
Program:
7.00 am: Arrival, breakfast, briefing
7.30 am: Clean up start
9.30 am: Segregation of waste and recyclable items
10.30 am: Fellowship, listen to personal story from migrants, refugees and mother Earth
11.30 am: Bye bye
