Student WEB CORPS (SWC) is a summer work-based learning experience for youth, ages 16-18 years old. The experience is designed to strengthen students’ web development, project management and professionalism skills and to apply those skills in the authentic task of building a website for a mock business. Student-employees will work in project-teams of 4-5 and be supported by two TECH CORPS Instructors, a Site Coordinator and a mock client (industry volunteers). Student-employees will earn $15 per hour.
Below are a few additional notes about the program:
SWC will have two groups: (1) 8:00am-12:00pm and (2) 1:00pm-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (a total of 20 hours per week) from July 5th-August 12th (6 weeks). SWC will take place at Claretian Associates Salud Center located at 3039 E. 91st St, Chicago, IL 60617.

-Chicago resident (proof of residency required)
-Students must also complete the One Summer Chicago application (Deadline is June 10th) at
onesummerchicago.org.
Student Selection Process:
Students will be accepted to participate in the program on a first come, first serve basis until all spots are filled and upon completion of the One Summer Chicago application.
Please note that students will need to provide their social security card, identification card and proof of Chicago residency. If you need to obtain these documents, now is a great time to start!
