CALL FOR PROPOSALS

​We are excited to announce the call for proposals for our upcoming institute focused on "Translanguaging Energies: Juntos, Corriente and Wonder." We seek to bring together a diverse group of researchers and educators who serve emergent bilingual students and families. The institute aims to explore innovative translanguaging pedagogy that fosters language inclusivity, social justice, and equity in research and teaching endeavors. 

Conference Strands: We welcome proposals that address, but are not limited to, the following strands:

  1. Translanguaging Pedagogy in Planning and Design: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
  2. Translanguaging Pedagogy in Classroom Practices
  3. Translanguaging Pedagogy in Program and Policy: Creating, Establishing, Sustaining
  4. Translanguaging and Social Justice and Equity
  5. Translanguaging and Family/Community: Involvement, Engagement, Partnership  
  6. Translanguaging and Teacher Preparation/Professional Development

We eagerly anticipate receiving your innovative proposals, fostering an institute that not only enriches the realm of translanguaging pedagogy but also celebrates and honors the diverse linguistic repertoires of our students.

  • Proposal Submission Deadline: February 22, 2025
  • Notification of Acceptance: March 1, 2025
  • Conference Date: June 12-13, 2025 at Hotel Encanto De Las Cruces, New Mexico
