ENGL 2121 feedback
Critical Response 3.2
Comment on the workload in this class. Do you think I expected too much of students in terms of reading and/or writing assignments? Explain, and if you think the workload was too great, make suggestions on what adjustments I might make in future sections of this class.
Rate my effectiveness in illuminating or explaining the literature. Were there some works where you thought the discussions didn't help you understand the texts as well as they could have? Would you suggest going slower through certain texts? More quickly through any?
Evaluate my use of the Writing Matters exam, critical responses, corrections, paper proposals, paper assignments, and midterm and final exams. Which of these assignments would you recommend keeping "as is," and what specific changes would making in these assignments in future classes?
How—very specifically—do you think I might have encouraged more engaging class discussions? Would you suggest my changing things up with occasional group work? Why?
Which one or two works covered this semester would you recommend that I drop from future Brit Lit I classes, and why?
What would you advise or warn your best friend about if he or she were considering taking my class?
