Engagement & Development Network 2.0: Developing Your Professional Competencies
September 26, 2017 | 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm | WB 215
Presenters: David Newman, Senior Director of Student Experience, Adam Kuhn, Director, Student and Campus Community Development

In 2016, the Canadian Association of College and University Student Services launched a new competency model. This competency model is an organized collection of skills, abilities, characteristics and knowledge that are related to performance in the student affairs and services field. This model is a useful tool that can be used by student services professionals at the institutional as well as at the individual level.
In this session we will explore the CACUSS Student Affairs and Services Competency Model including each of the competency themes and their competency levels (core, intermediate advanced). We will also discuss strategies for employing the framework on our own professional development.
