This survey aims to gauge interest in a Women in Journalism club based in the Drake SJMC. The club would be a safe space for women and other minorities pursuing careers in the journalism field by building an uplifting and supportive community. Since journalism is still a male dominated field, this club will be a space for students to overcome challenges, connect with industry professionals, engage in mentorship and collaboration, and lift each other up. Any Drake student interested in pursuing a career in the media can join to swap ideas, internship leads, and stories.
