Submit testimony to Plainview Zoning Board re: Keystone XL "Contractor Yard" permit
TransCanada / TC Energy says it has "pulled" its application to build a Keystone XL pipeline worker mancamp in Plainview, Nebraska (for now), but the company's still applying for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a "Contractor Yard" in Plainview.
A public hearing to discuss TransCanada's permit application will be held at the Plainview Public Library on Monday, Oct. 26 at 7pm. Members of the public will be able to give testimony in opposition and voice their concerns about an influx of workers to Plainview during the coronavirus pandemic. **PLEASE WEAR A MASK**
SUBMIT A WRITTEN COMMENT:
If you're unable/feel unsafe attending the public hearing, you may submit a written comment on the form below that Bold/Jane will deliver to the Plainview Zoning Board during the hearing on Oct. 26.
Many of the same concerns about the mancamp remain relevant -- about an influx of out-of-state workers into the city of Plainview (pop. 1,195) and Pierce County (pop. 7,148) during the coronavirus pandemic:
