Join the Cotswold Priestess Training: Spiral 1
Welcome to our new students for this year long devotional and learning journey beginning on 20th April 2024!
We are so thrilled to be offering this course as a collaborative effort from the amazing faculty we have gathered in support of Stroud Goddess Temple.
The First Spiral consists of 10 very full days of In-Person Training , alongside online resources.
We alternatively offer our inclusive Online Distance Learning option for those unable to travel or otherwise attend the In-Person training.
In this Spiral you will be exploring the sacred landscape of the Cotswolds - Stone, Stream and Sky, as well as connecting with each of the Goddesses of the Cotswolds Wheel of Cuda - namely Hecate, Nematona, Elen, Venus, Sabrina, Matres Sulivae, Rosmerta, Sulis, and at the Centre, Goddess Cuda and the Cuculatti.
There will be academic learning, ceremony, craft, movement, deep ecology and listening / sharing circles, building a community of devotion to the Divine Feminine grounded in our local history and landscape, as well as the seasonal festivals of Brythonic pagan traditions.
The initial Year 1 Spiral unfolds into a deeper Year 2 Spiral with the same group members, where you can choose to continue work with rites of passage, Goddess Embodiment, Sacred Drama and empowered leadership through the Goddesses of the Cotswolds and our connection with nature.
This personal development course is also accredited as a professional development training through IPHM, and will lead to certification at the completion of the Spiral 1 Year into the Sister/Brother/Personhood of Stone, Stream and Sky. The completion of Spiral 2 Year leads to dedication as a Priest/ess or Priestx of the Cotswolds.
The training is open to people of all genders, backgrounds and beliefs. We are an inclusive and openly accountable Community Interest Company organisation.
We are particularly committed to decolonising spirituality, working to overcome racism and cultural appropriation, homophobia, transphobia or misogyny, ecocide or exploitation of natural ecology, and other forms of patriarchal harm which have been prevalent over the last 300 years. This course and its fees help to fund the continuation of the physical temple in Stroud town centre as well as supporting the facilitators travel and venue fees for the sacred sites we visit over the year.
It is our hope that through the development of more sustainable culture around Goddess and nature-based spiritual practices and community building, that we can heal the harms to Her and the Earth that have occurred through patriarchal oppression. We can also thus co-create a brighter, more loving and wholesome future.
