School boards in Ontario must prepare, adopt and submit a school year calendar to the Ministry of Education by March 1st for the next school year. School year calendars for the elementary and secondary schools are drafted in accordance with the Education Act and Regulation 304 - School Year Calendar and are sent for review and approval by the Ministry of Education.

Public consultation is part of the process of gaining approval of the School Year Calendar. Parents / guardians, students, staff members and community members are invited to provide feedback regarding the proposed calendar.

Comments will be accepted until February 3, 2023.
