The ACOS Alliance is offering free 1-2-1 safety masterclasses for journalists and editors attending this year’s International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy on Thursday April 18 (PM), Friday 19 (all day) and
Saturday 20 (AM).

These tailored, 50 minute consultations, led by international safety experts, are open to independent journalists and editors at all stages of their career who are looking for practical advice and guidance on a specific issue, assignment, story or situation. They can be particularly useful for those who already have a basic knowledge of safety.

Consultations can cover any of the following topics:

  • physical safety and risk assessment
  • digital security and surveillance
  • online harassment
  • legal safety
  • psychological safety and trauma management

Places are strictly limited so priority will be given to those who book their spot online
before the start of the festival.

Selected participants will be paired with a suitable advisor based on the information provided in their booking form. See list of advisors in the IJF24 programme

Please note: these clinics are intended for journalists and editors who are attending the International Journalism Festival 2024 and already have in place their own travel arrangements, accommodation and any costs related to the festival.
