Hot Work Operations Permit
Hot work including, but not limited to:
• Public exhibitions and demonstrations where hot work is conducted.
• Use of portable hot work equipment inside a structure.
Exception: Work that is conducted under a construction permit.
• Application of roof covering with the use of an open-flame device.


Operational Fire Permits for Hot Work Operations = $81 Review Fee
After hours/Holiday Inspections (Regular Hours: 8am-4pm, M-F excluding Holidays) =Actual Cost
Fire Watch = Actual Cost


A field inspection is not required unless the fire code official deems it necessary. The Everett Fire Department reserves the right to perform a site inspection at any time during Hot Work Operations. The contractor shall have a copy of all permits, and the pre-hot-work checklist on-site to present to an inspector upon request.
