Instructions
Applying for the RPM Open for Business Program is easy. The process starts by certifying that your organization meets the eligibility requirements and by providing information for the business directory. After these steps, you can become a participant and receive ongoing information and updates. The Open for Business Program includes ongoing campaigns to increase the visibility of participants.

Legal Business/Organization Name *
Preferred Business Name to be used in Materials *
Your preferred business name is how your business name will appear in marketing materials (such as the consumer-facing website, social media posts, etc.). Please provide your name with the exact characters that you would like used in the marketing materials (i.e., cafe vs. café).
Open for Business Program Eligibility
To be eligible, a business, nonprofit, major attraction, or entertainment venue must:
  1. Have a physical address within the boundaries of one of the RPM Phase One Project areas (map links below); 
  2. Be (a) a small business as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration size standards (link below), (b) a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status or (c) a major attraction or entertainment venue; 
  3. Have a primary function that adheres to the CTA Advertising Policy (outlined below)*

CTA Advertising Policy
Businesses whose primary function is the promotion, sale, rental, or use of any product or service whose content would be considered “Prohibited Advertising Content” as defined in the CTA Advertising Policy are ineligible to apply.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of such non-allowable products or services:
  • Tobacco: Tobacco products, tobacco-related products, and products that simulate smoking or are modeled on the tobacco products, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars and smokeless (e.g., chewing) tobacco and electronic cigarettes
  • Adult: Adult bookstores, adult retail shops, adult video stores, nude dance clubs, escort services, and other adult entertainment establishments or services
  • Firearms: Firearms and firearms-related products
  • Illegal: Activities or products that are illegal under federal, state or local law
  • Political: Political parties and candidates or groups of candidates running for federal, state, judicial, or local government positions
  • Public Issue: Activities or products that express or advocate an opinion, position or viewpoint on matters of public debate about economic, political, religious or social issues
