The specific objectives of the course are to enable participants to:
- Familiarise themselves with the concept and examples of children and youth led collective actions in a variety of contexts, and different types of tools to support them;- Identify why and how children and youth collective actions can support the development of citizenship competencies;- Analyse the Convention on the Rights of Child as a framework to enhance children’s participation;- Design a context-sensitive strategy to support and strengthen children and youth-led actions using the knowledge and tools acquired in the course
During the course, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the Ethics Education Framework, their role as educators and the competencies needed towards strengthening child and youth-led collective actions in their contexts.
Course dates: 28th February to 04th April 2018
This course is for facilitators who have previously attended an Ethics Education Facilitator Training workshop. Vacancies are limited to 25 participants. Please remember that the deadline for applications is on the 12th of February 2018. Selected applicants will be contacted by the course coordinators by the 14th of February 2018.
