Until now, more than 5,000 digital centers have been set up in union parishads, city corporations and municipalities. Over 150 public and private services are being provided through these digital centers, including birth certificate, passport, social security allowance, land related services, etc. Many innovative initiatives have also been launched in education and healthcare sectors; with special emphasis on physically challenged people who are lagging behind. To ensure women empowerment, technology-based innovations by women are also being encouraged and funded.
The citizens – from urban to marginalized levels – have already started to receive the benefits of all these digital services. To showcase photos illustrating the development in citizen services through the activities and progress of a2i or Digital Bangladesh, a2i has organized a photography competition, titled “Celluloid Stories: Transformation by Using Digital Services,” for the first time.
Interested photographers are being urged to submit photos illustrating development through digital or e-services.
Competition Topics:1. Use of information and technology in citizen services2. Changes or empowerment in women's life through technology3. Innovative Bangladesh
The main goal of this competition is to illustrate the development of Digital Bangladesh through the photos captured by photographers highlighting the above-mentioned topics.
