The Teamster Futures committee is a group of rank-and-file Teamster members from across the upper Midwest. We have a shared mission of making our union more inclusive and welcoming of all workers, particularly those who are age 35 or younger. We want to ensure that younger Teamsters are educated about their rights and responsibilities and have spaces to meet other workers who are also interested in building the strength of the union.
Some of the Activities of the Futures Committee include:
- Picket line support and showing solidarity with union actions
and strikes - Promoting the Teamsters at community events, such as
festivals and fairs - Visiting local high schools and career fairs to educate the
next generation about unions - Participating in social events that engage other Teamsters
and younger workers
Futures Committee membership is limited to Teamster union members in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota who are age 35 or younger. By filling out this form, you are expressing interest in attending Teamster Futures Committee actions and events. You will be contacted by an organizer with the Futures Committee about how to get further involved.
