This class is an exploration of what it means to take a picture as a way of exploring the visual world. Classes will begin with instruction on how to use a camera, various ways of composing an image and the relationship between subject and background. We will be exploring the key role light plays in making pictures!

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN DEVICE (Cell Phone or Camera), OR THERE WILL BE A FEE OF $5 PER CLASS TO BORROW CAMERAS.
Photo taking devices or cell phones need to :
-be able to take digital picture
-be charged and have available space
-have an auto setting
-images can be downloaded to a computer

Instructor Sharlene has been photographing since 2011, teaching private music and photography since that time. She professionally photographs weddings, events, and portraits, and has assisted food, commercial, event, architectural and editorial photographers (including with The Wall Street Journal). She loves the arts and is a proud aunt of 11 nieces and nephews.
