2026 - Open Class Poultry Entry Form

This form is ONLY for exhibitors participating in the OPEN Poultry Show. There is a separate form for Feather to Fork. Please complete 1 form per exhibitor.

Friday, (date) sometime between 3PM-5PM: VDACS will be present to test your birds. Birds are required to be in place for the show by 5:00pm. Try to arrive early if you can!

Friday, (date) at 5PM: Bird conformation to judge the best birds in their class will be on the judge's own time after 5PM, and you do not need to be present for this part.

Friday, (date) at 6PM: Open Poultry Showmanship Competition: You must be present to show ONE of the birds you brought to the judge. Choose a calm bird to show. Even if you brought multiple birds to compete in the conformation class competition, you'll only show one bird during the showmanship competition.

Cloverbud (Cloverbuds will not be placed; participation only)

Junior - competing for first and second

Intermediate - competing for first and second

Senior - competing for first and second

After you place your birds in their cages on Friday, it is your responsibility to check on your birds on Friday. If you leave your birds overnight, there will be someone here the entire time to watch them and ensure they are safe. Saturday when you return to the fair, make sure they have feed and water. Remember to take your chicken home on Saturday.

Saturday, (date): Fair visitors love to view your birds throughout the fair, and we encourage you to leave your birds overnight on Friday and take them home on Saturday after the fair ends, however, if you don't have plans to attend the fair on Saturday, you can take your birds home after all showmanship judging and conformation judging ends on Friday night.
