Choose 3 instruments your child would like to try during their individual instrument selection. *
It is very important for your child to begin on an instrument that is the best "fit" for a successful start. Although they may have a favorite, that instrument might not be well-suited for your child. Instrument selection considerations will include: physical characteristics, musical listening (aural) skills, any academic considerations, and ability to produce an initial quality sound. It is also important for the band to have a balanced number of each instrument to allow for a positive overall individual and group experience. Percussionists will be screened for keyboard knowledge, level of rhythmic and music reading skills, ability to maintain a steady beat and ability to concentrate.
