Title: Moving from Grit to Purpose, a critical conversation about resilience in schools.

Description: This webinar will dive into a critical conversation surrounding discourse on resilience within secondary education. Julia will provide students with some tangible ideas of ways to engage the community in the classroom and implement project based learning opportunities that cultivate meaning and purpose for students in school.

Presenter: Julia Dalman (she/her) is currently working as a Community Liaison with Edmonton Public Schools. She is passionate about creating environmental and social justice pilot projects with high school students and centering the voices of students in education policy. Julia is the founder of the Global Cafe program in Edmonton Public Schools, and is a co-founder of ConsentEd and the RAD Educators Network. She holds a Master's degree in Education Policy Studies in the area of Administration and Leadership. Julia is grateful to be living, working, and organizing on Treaty 6 Territory ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwacîwâskahikan).
