Part 1: Key Information & What to Expect

Key Information
  • What: An intensive 5-day youth leadership programme
  • When: Monday, August 17th to Friday, August 21st, 2026
  • Why: To build leadership, debate and public speaking skills
  • Where: The ABCAS Eustace Hill Campus (formerly ABIIT)
  • Hours: 8:45 am to 3:00 pm daily
  • Eligibility: Youth aged 12-17 + young adults 18-24
  • Included: A certificate upon completion 📜🎓
  • Included: Daily transport between ABIIT and St. John's (if needed)
  • Not included: Lunch is not included. Participants may bring their own lunch/snack or purchase lunch options that will be available throughout the week.

Our Mission

We live in an age where public discourse is often shallow, and true critical thought is in short supply. Building Titans: Young Leaders Summer Academy 2026 (BTYLSA 2026) was founded to change that. This is not another recreational summer camp. Our mission is to deliver an elite, high-yield academic incubator designed to equip adolescents and young adults with the intellectual tools, rhetorical skills, and moral courage required to command a room, challenge stagnant ideas, and drive meaningful societal change.

Redefining Leadership — Young people today are constantly exposed to a flawed model of leadership defined by self-promotion, photo opportunities, and social ladder climbing. At Building Titans, we reject the idea that leadership is merely about high positions, social status, or personal wealth. We teach our participants a vital truth: not all leadership is good leadership, and real leaders are moral leaders. BTYLSA 2026 teaches youth that true leadership demands integrity, accountability, and a radical impact on the causes they champion. We equip our Titans to be visionaries who stand up on behalf of others, put principles ahead of personal gain, and choose what is right over what is popular.

Training Great Speakers — Public speaking is one of the most challenging yet essential skills for young leaders navigating their way forward in life. At BTYLSA 2026, we provide the theory to make public speaking accessible, alongside opportunities to practice in a constructive, encouraging, and welcoming environment. Great speakers inspire, inform, and captivate; they command the rooms they enter and leave audiences with a lasting impression. Because most young people do not pick up these advanced skills in a traditional school setting, they need specialized programs like this to launch their journey toward lifelong success.

Critical Thinking Through Debate — While many young people find debating intimidating, it is an exceptional pathway for accelerating cognitive, social, and emotional development. In an age saturated with surface-level social media and shallow public discourse, debate forces youth to look past headlines and analyze complex issues. Through our structured training, participants learn to think on their feet, recognize bias, listen actively, and disagree constructively. Debate dismantles stage fright by mastering body language and vocal delivery, transforming adolescents into sharp researchers and media-literate critical thinkers who can spot logical faults in the moment.

Part 3: Registration and Payment

Register Now in Three Steps
  • Step One — Read the Participation Agreement and Liability Waiver. Consenting to the Agreement and the Waiver are a requirement for registration for this 5-day summer programme. Note that participants aged 12-17 years must be registered by a parent or guardian. Participants aged 18+ years are able to register themselves.
  • Step Two — Complete this Form. You will be asked to agree to the Participation Agreement and the Liability Waiver and as well for things like the participants information, the parent's information, emergency information, and your preferred mode of payment. We will send you an acknowledgement email within 24 hours after you submit this form.
  • Step Three — Make Payment. Registration is only complete once the enrollment fee of XCD $125 is paid. We are still accepting payments. Please make payment as soon as possible to secure a spot. Once you complete this registration form, we will send you an acknowledgement email and a reminder about payment. Payment can be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT), ECAB peer-to-peer transfer (see important note further below), or with cash. Unfortunately, we are not accepting payment via cheque. Payment instructions will be included in your acknowledgement email based on the payment option you choose when you submit this form.

Payment Terms and Info
  • Payment Completes Registration — Registration for BTYSLA 2026 is only complete upon full payment of the XCD $125 enrollment fee.  Filling out this form alone will not grant a participant a space. We therefore encourage you to complete payment within the specified timeframe. Partial payments will not be accepted and should not be made. Only full payments will be accepted.
  • Payment Period: We are still accepting payments. Please make payment as soon as possible to secure a spot. Once you complete this registration form, we will send you an acknowledgement email and a reminder about payment.
  • How to Pay — Payment can be made in three ways: Via electronic funds transfer (EFT), ECAB peer-to-peer transfer, or with cash. Electronic payments are encouraged as these are simplest. Please note that unfortunately, we are not accepting payment via cheque. Payment instructions will be included in your acknowledgement email based on the payment option you choose. Your digital receipt will be issued after payment.
  • IMPORTANT: ECAB has informed us that their mobile app is unable to add new peers at this time, and that adding a new peer can only be done by physically visiting one of their branches. It means you will have to physically go to an ECAB branch to add us as a peer. We did ask if an electronic funds transfer (EFT) would be possible between ECAB accounts, but we were advised that EFTs are not possible between ECAB accounts, only between different banks. If you want to pay through an ECAB account, you will either have to go to the bank to add us as a peer or you may prefer to use the cash option. If you have an account at a different bank, you can still do an EFT as normal. 
Part 4: Next Steps and Updates

Next Steps and Updates 
  • Join our BTYLSA 2026: Updates WhatsApp group. This group is strictly for announcements and only admins can post, so you won't have to worry about the chat being busy with unwanted messages.
  • Share our Participant Questionnaire with your child or, if you are a self-registered participant (18+), kindly complete it yourself. This helps us understand the strengths and weaknesses of those joining us. It is anonymous and does not ask for a name. 
  • Look out for the release of our official BTYLSA 2026 Activity Schedule on August 13th, 2026. This will give detailed insights into the specific topics, speakers and activities scheduled for specific days.
  • You will also receive further information about the cost and type of meal options that will be available on site daily during the programme.

About the Organisers of BTYLSA 2026

BTYLSA 2026 is being organised by a dynamic team of individuals with a passion for debate, effective communication, and youth empowerment. They include seasoned debaters and public speakers, student volunteers, lecturers, and professional leaders. The team is led by Kieron Murdoch who is the Director of BTYLSA 2026 and its principal organiser.

It is not an accredited academic institution, school, or university, and does not offer accredited degrees, diplomas, or certificates. The term "Summer Academy" as used in the title signals that the programme is a high-quality, structured learning environment. The certificates which participants receive are to demonstrate their completion of this extracurricular programme.
