The Otipemisiwak Métis Government (OMG) has partnered with Dolly Parton's Dollywood Foundation to provide Métis children in Alberta with a high quality, age appropriate book delivered monthly to their home free of charge. Métis children enrolled in this program may receive books from birth to their fifth birthday with an aim to inspire the love of reading and early literacy.
Program Eligibility:
- The family must reside in Alberta
- The child must be Métis
- Either the child or one of the child's parents must have Métis Nation of Alberta Citizenship
- The child must be between the ages of 0 and 5 years old
To sign up your child to receive a free book monthly through Imagination Library and Otipemisiwak Métis Government, please complete and submit this electronic registration form. Applicants should receive a response from a staff person at Otipemisiwak Métis Government within approximately four weeks to confirm the child's eligibility for this program.
