PURPOSE OF THE SECLA GRANT PROGRAM- Facilitating and encouraging member organisations to work together to offer programs in their communities
- Supporting members in improving the livability and quality of life in their communities.
- promote southeast community inter-connectedness, by sponsoring events that are available to the wider south east Edmonton community
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
- Open for use or participation by all SECLA member communities.
- Suitable for promotion across SECLA communities on SECLA channels including South East Voice, SE Community League Association Facebook and Instagram pages.
SECLA has a total amount of funds to be distributed capped at $10000 for 2025, and each event is able to apply for a grant of up to $1000.
Who is eligible to apply: SECLA members in good standing and partnering agencies. The SECLA Board may also submit applications.
Review: the SECLA board will review all applications on a case by case basis at monthly board meetings, and applicants will receive responses within seven days of a decision.
Funds will be issued via cheque to successful applicants.
FINAL REPORTS
Successful applicants must submit a final report within 30 days of project completion including
- summary of activities and pictures (for use on SECLA socials)
- number of participants
- overall impact on SECLA community/communities
- receipts for all expenditures.
APPLICATION PERIOD(S) & DEADLINESQuarterly application periods starting Jan 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct 1. Unallocated and returned funds from one quarter are rolled into the next.
Funds approved must be used within 90 days of the date approved. Unused funds must be returned to SECLA within 120 days of the date approved.
