Interested in Sharing Surplus Produce with Your Community?
LocalShare connects farmers with neighbors in need by rescuing surplus or donated produce and distributing it to local hunger relief partners. We’re focusing on FREE community produce markets—
redistributing fresh food directly to where it’s needed most, in collaboration with trusted local partners. Whether it’s a few extra crates of veggies or a row planted with purpose, we make it easy to give back. We offer flexible options tailored to your farm’s needs, including:
- Volunteer gleaners to help with harvesting
- Coordinated pickups or drop-off options
- Support in managing surplus, including creative gleaning methods of one product of unsalable produce (ie. off the ground, past it's prime time)
Gleaning isn’t limited to crops grown specifically for donation—though that’s always welcome! It’s also about rescuing good food that might otherwise go unharvested. We’re here to work with you, whether it’s a one-time contribution or a regular partnership.
Together, we can reduce food waste, support our neighbors, and strengthen our local food system.
