Application to be registered as a Social Prescribing Organisation for Children and Young People in Coventry and Warwickshire
In August 2021, Coventry and Warwickshire CCG were successful in their bid to become the NHSE/I West Midlands Vanguard for the Framework for Integrated Care. The Framework for Integrated Care is the NHS’s response to the Long-Term Plan commitment of investing in additional services for children and young people with complex needs.
As an NHS England and NHS Improvement (West Midlands) health and justice funded initiative, our framework has a particular focus on improving outcomes for children and young people at risk of entering, or engaged with, the criminal justice system.
A key part of the Positive Pathways framework (formally known as TIRS) is to provide support to children and young people via social prescribing.
Therefore Positive Directions is our social prescribing service which underpins the Positive Pathways framework. Positive Directions seeks to ensure that a social prescribing offer is accessible to all children and young people, including those that are ineligible for our specialist Positive Pathways Trauma service.
We are seeking to collaborate with a range of excellent provider organisations across provide a range or interventions and activities for children and young people to increase their health, wellbeing and to support them move past trauma and adversity.
