PILI `Āina: ʻAi Pono Community Cooking Demonstration #2 ʻUALA
Join us for our 2nd PILI 'Āina cooking demonstration with Aunty Tammy Smith on Wednesday, May 27th at 6PM. At this 2 hour event you will learn ʻuala recipes and be able to sample them, too. We will be located in the classrooms at the Kapolei Heritage Center (Address: 91-1270 Kinoiki Street). This cooking demonstration is a part of KCDCʻs partnership with the PILI 'Āina research project with the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Department of Native Hawaiian Health. Papakōlea homesteads are collaborating with our homesteads here in the ahupuaʻa of Honouliuli (Maluʻōhai, Kaupeʻa, Kānehili, and Kaʻuluokahaʻi) to bring the PILI ʻĀina Project to our homestead residents.
