Our CCR's require solar arrays that are placed on the roof to be surrounded by parapets, screening or to be otherwise rendered unobtrusive and inoffensive. 
SCE CCR 3.105. Solar energy arrays and evaporative or refrigerative coolers may be placed on a roof only if surrounded by parapets or screening, or otherwise rendered unobtru­sive and inoffensive, and may be kept on a roof only if such conditions continue to be met.

AZLEGE 33-1816. B. An association may adopt reasonable rules regarding the placement of a solar energy device if those rules do not prevent the installation, impair the functioning of the device or restrict its use or adversely affect the cost or efficiency of the device.  
Will parapets or screening be installed? If not, please explain what will be done to render the panels unobtrusive and inoffensive.
Our CCR's restrict the removal of native growth. If the solar company must trench, please take care that the native growth is returned to its original state.  
SCE CCR 4.301.Except for such native growth as it may be necessary to remove for the construction and maintenance of roads, driveways, dwelling houses and other permitted structures, no native growth, including palo verde trees, may be destroyed or removed.
