2017 Summer Shoreline Workshops
Lake Champlain Sea Grant and Franklin Watershed Committee invite you to participate in three workshops this summer focused on improving water quality and a healthier environment around Lake Carmi and greater Franklin County.

Workshops will take place at the FELCO Room at the Franklin Homestead from 4:00-5:30pm.

Participants will learn about:

• Benefits of pollinator-friendly plants for shoreline habitat and protection
• Native plants adapted to soil and climate
• Best planting locations and techniques

Natural Shoreland Erosion Control - August 23, 2017, 4:00-5:30pm
Participants will learn about:

• Natural control methods: plants, buffers, etc.
• Vermont’s Shoreland Protection Act: overview
• Local Resources
