IDEA Kyle PTO - Official Nomination Form
The election of PTO officers for the 2024‐2025 school year is here.  The election will take place during the September 26th, 2024, PTO meeting by PTO members in a simply majority.  We are seeking nominations for each of the board positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Volunteer Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator, Student Advocate.  The term for office is two years.  Officers may serve more than one, but not more than two, consecutive terms of office.  The duties of each position are summarized below.

If you are interested in running for one of the officer positions or wish to nominate someone for an office, please complete this form no later than September 25th, 2024.  All nominees will be contacted and given the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination.

A complete list of nominees will be provided in the September meeting agenda along with a statement from each candidate.  At the September PTO meeting, the nominees will be introduced prior to the voting.  New officers shall take office immediately.

President
The president shall preside over meetings of the organization and executive board, serve as the primary contact for the principal, represent the organization at meetings outside the organization, serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee, and coordinate the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served.
Vice President
- The vice president shall assist the president and carry out the president’s duties in his or her absence or inability to serve.
- The vice president shall also oversee the committees of this organization.
- Standing Committees: Fundraising, Membership, Volunteer, Teacher Appreciation, Family Engagement, and Audit. (Board may create additional committees for events or special projects)
Secretary
- The secretary shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes,
- Prepare the agenda, handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to the membership.
- The secretary also keeps a copy of the minutes book, bylaws, rules, membership list, and any other necessary supplies, and brings them to meetings.

Treasurer
- The treasurer shall receive all funds of the organization, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, and pay out funds in accordance with the approval of the executive board.
- He or she will present a financial statement at every meeting and at other times of the year when requested by the executive board, and make a full report at the end of the year.

Fundraising Coordinator
The fundraising coordinator manages the PTOs fundraising activities, including investigation into various opportunities and makes recommendations to the committee in this regard.
Volunteer Coordinator
- The volunteer coordinator shall coordinate volunteers for PTO events and school activities.
- Collect list of general volunteers at beginning of year and for special events.
- Assure that volunteer data is recorded and available to both the Board and teachers.
- Work with teachers, staff, and leaders of committees to assure volunteers are recruited for programs.

Student Advocate
-The student advocate will help bridge the gap between the parents and the administration.
-They will take any concerns the families have and address them with administrators, to create a better school environment for all scholars.
