In 2025, we’re honoring the power of the poets in an unapologetic celebration of those who give voice to the voiceless through hip-hop and spoken word. In the spirit of the conscious rap movement of the late 80s and mid-90s, artist-activists and musical disruptors come together on the BAM stage to uplift and celebrate the political force of the art form. Join us as we raise our voices and our microphones to challenge the status quo through the power of awe-inspiring, invincible flow.

There will be a post-show discussion with the artists, lasting approximately 20 minutes.

There are free pre- and post-show workshops available to all schools who purchase tickets to this performance. This is a 45-minute to 1 hour-long workshop that will be facilitated at your school by one of BAM's teaching artists.
