Hello there and Welcome,

Thank you for your interest in joining our restaurant. My name is Vivian, and alongside my husband, Huy Nguyen, we would like to share some introduction about us.

We are a husband-and-wife–owned business, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to apply. Our mission is to serve scratch-made dishes that are healthy yet full of flavor, inspired by the bold traditions of Southeast Asia as well as familiar favorites from the United States. In addition to our food, we also offer a thoughtfully crafted beverage program featuring Vietnamese drip coffee, ceremonial Japanese matcha, refreshers, as well as beer and wine. We take pride in making our own fruit puree in-house and are committed to using no artificial flavors, additives, or shortcuts-only real, clean ingredients.

We moved to the U.S. in 2011 and 2017, and together we are raising our three children—Cece (5), Izzy (3), and Blake (2). Being in restaurant business has been part of our journey of growth, discovery, and creating something meaningful for our family and community.

Before entering the food industry, Huy worked in logistics within his family’s three-generation business, while I was completing my senior year of college. Moving here gave us the opportunity to start fresh, learn new skills, and continue building ourselves every day. We started our first restaurant, Norvary, in Winona MN in 2022. It has given us the opportunity to meet great people along the way. Coming this August 2026, we plan on open Chao eatery's door in downtown Eau Claire.

We are looking to grow a tight-knit team of serious, dependable, and supportive individuals—people who take pride in their work and are always willing to help one another.
