Healing as Revolution: A Healing Justice Practitioner Training
Facilitated by Jennelle Ramdeen (they/them), this course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to develop as Healing Justice Practitioners. The curriculum emphasizes that true revolution necessitates collective and individual healing. Through a blend of historical grounding, embodiment practices, and cultural analysis, participants will delve into the root causes of social wounding and explore pathways toward building and sustaining healing communities. The course encourages participants to integrate healing justice values into their personal and communal aspirations and strategically implement them into their social change-making.

March 6th: (Virtual, 6-8pm EST) Ceremony: Ancestral Drum Journey
March 9th: (Virtual, 1-4pm EST) Soil: Historical Grounding - Medical Industrial Complex, Prison Industrial Complex, What is wounding us? What is hurting our movements?
March 12th: (Virtual, 6-8pm EST) Ceremony: Shame Embodiment - Harm/Harm Doer Embodiment
March 16th: (Virtual, 1-4pm EST) Ecosystem: What we need in revolution? How will we get there? Through Healing! Building a world for healing is building a just world.
March 19th: (Virtual, 6-8pm EST) Ceremony: Collective Poem and Zine Making
March 23rd: (Virtual, 1-4pm EST) Life As Ceremony: The Process is the Destination, How do we maintain healing communities? What medicine is your life creating for the collective?
Cost: $400
This course can be a Pre-Course add-on to the NYC POC Healing Circle's Reiki Training, Hilom, immediately following this training. You can apply to both Healing as Revolution and Hilom here. This cost can be added to your Hilom Payment Plan for a discounted price of $250, additional to your Hilom costs.The only scholarships available are to the Hilom pay-what you-can participants.

Hilom (Tagalog word for healing) - is a journey of bringing ease and joy to the body using Usui Reiki Ryoho, mindfulness practices, and shamanic healing. It is an offering of NYC People of Color Healing Circle, a collective of queer and transgender community healing practitioners providing care to their BIPOC community.
Overview
This course is designed to introduce students to the practice of Usui Reiki, with a focus on self-healing, trauma-informed care, and healing justice. Through a combination of virtual and in-person modules, students will learn the history and principles of Reiki, receive attunements to Reiki symbols, and develop the skills to practice Reiki on themselves and others, in a journey that is affirming to and centers QTBIPOC
