Administrators, teachers, counselors, parents, students and community members are invited to nominate an inspirational science, technology, engineering or mathematics teacher for the prestigious Governor's STEM Advisory Council 2026 Iowa STEM Teacher Award, sponsored by Google.
This award is dedicated to honoring the teachers who are making a significant difference in the lives of students across the state by providing excellent curriculum, encouraging lifelong learning and inspiring a passion for STEM both in the classroom and beyond into the future.
Eligible nominees include licensed, full-time, PK-12 Iowa teachers who incorporate science, technology, engineering, or mathematics and related disciplines in public or non-public school classrooms and who spend at least 75% of their working hours (approximately 30 hours per week, minimum) in the classroom - both virtually and in-person - interacting with students.
Nominations for
previous recipients of this award and
self-nominations will
not be accepted.
