If yes, you must set up in the LFCA area and have a rep available at noon Saturday to present to the judges. All LFCA entries must be cooked over open fire (no lids).

OPEN FIRE RULES

I agree to abide by the Live Fire Cooking Association Open Fire Rules. 

Open Fire Cooking requires the use of wood or charcoal as the heat source, with no lids or covers on the grill. The food is fully exposed to the flame, smoke, and elements. There is a pure, unguarded connection between cook and fire.

Not Allowed: Grills with lids, propane or gas equipment, propane torches, electric cooking devices used to heat or cook food

Allowed: If a grill has a lid that is welded on, the grill can be used, but the lid must remain open. Electric rotisseries or similar cooking attachments, electric accessories such as blenders, dutch ovens with lids.

HOLD HARMLESS

I agree that BBQ Jackpot, Girls Can Grill, LFCA, KCBS, Silverton Casino (BBQ JACKPOT) along with their officers, employees, sponsors and/or associates, and the contestants, demonstrators, parents, and/or legal representatives will in no case be responsible for any loss, damage or injury, regardless of how much loss, damage or injury is occasioned, and indemnify and save harmless BBQ JACKPOT from any and all claims, suits and/or judgments, including the cost for defense of and such claim and/or suit by BBQ JACKPOT brought by anyone as a result of any loss, damage or injury to any person or property, occasioned by any action or inaction of contestant, either solely or in conjunction with BBQ JACKPOT.

I grant full permission to BBQ Jackpot and/or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of the event for any legitimate purpose, including on social media.

SITE RESPONSIBILITIES

It is your responsibility to leave your assigned cook site just the way you found it.

When you light, burn and/or discard coals, please do not do so on the asphalt because it can damage the tar. 

Please dispose of all of your grease, trash and ash in the proper provided receptacles. 

If you cause any damage to your site, you will be responsible for any repair costs that Silverton Casino may require. 

PAYMENT PROCESS

Application is no guarantee of acceptance in the contest. BBQ JACKPOT reserves the right to reject any application. Teams will be notified if their application was accepted and if their requested site size is available as quickly as possible. 

Payment will be due upon acceptance into the contest. An invoice will be sent via email. 

Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee in full. 

If you need to cancel, please be aware of the following refund policy:

Full refund (less any processing fees) if you cancel on or before Sept. 30, 2026. 

50% refund (less any fees) if you cancel between Oct. 1-31, 2026 

No refunds will be issued after Oct. 31, 2026, unless we are able to fill your spot with another team on the waitlist.
