Hamden Rovers Summer 2023 Soccer and Academic Development Program

The instructional clinic is for boys and girls aged 6-14 to learn the fundamentals of soccer and an introductory exposure to robotics and drone technology. Students will gain valuable soccer development skills, be able to build robots/ drones and learn a variety of safe science topics.  The clinic features 1 training session each week that is 3hrs long for 6 consecutive Saturdays.  Each person approved to attend the session must commit to 100% participation or their eligibility will be REVOKED. Practice days will be Saturday mornings 8:30am - 11:30am. Families will receive practice schedules in advance by email.   Meals will be provided at the conclusion of each training session.

Note *** -  Kids age 6 thru 7 will be able to participate in sporting activity during 8:30am - 9:45am only. Then transition to games and fun activties until 11am.

Open to (age groups 6 -14).  Priority enrollment will be offered to individuals living in Hamden CT and are members of low income families.  Accomodations will be made for kids from the surrounding communities that have an interest in attending the camp.

 Assumption of Risks: Physical activity, by its very nature, carries with it certain dangers and risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to prevent or minimize the risk of harm. The club’s program is for the sport of soccer and related activities such as strength training, running and other aerobic activities. Some of these activities involve strenuous exertions of strength using various muscle groups, some involve quick movements involving speed and change of direction, some involve potential contact with equipment, fixed objects (e.g. goals), other participants (including participants that are older or younger and who may be larger or smaller in terms of weight and height) and various surface.                               A paper copy of the event waiver must be sign at the initial onsite event. *
