Oregon Area PTO Community Fun Run
Assumption of Risk & Warning of Risk Waiver & Release of Claim
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST READ AND SIGN THIS WAIVER

1. I understand that participating in the Oregon Area PTO Community Fun Run is a potentially hazardous activity.

2. I agree not to participate or allow my minor child to participate unless I am medically and physically able to do so and my child is medically and physically able to do so; which it is my sole responsibility to determine. I release event administrators from any and all claims for injuries, including incapacity or death, illnesses, damages, or loss that I may suffer associated with the race.

3. I assume all risks associated with competing in the Oregon Area PTO Community Fun Run, including, but not limited to contact with other runners, slips, falls, negligent or wanton acts of other participants, defects or condition of premises, the effects of weather (extreme heat or cold, storms, humidity). All such risks are known, assumed and appreciated by me.

4. I am solely responsible for all of my property during the event, including items or property that are stolen, stained, lost or damaged. The Oregon School District, the Oregon PTO, BKE PTO, and the FES PTO will not be responsible for any personal items of participants or guests.

5. I consent to emergency medical care and transportation in order to obtain treatment in the event of an injury as medical professionals recommend as appropriate. This release extends to any liability arising out of or connected with, the medical treatment and transportation providing in the event of an emergency.

6. No pets are allowed to participate or accompany runners during the event.

7. I understand that all entries are final with NO REFUNDS.

8. Participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times, including following all laws, respecting people, facilities and equipment. Please exhibit positive participation. Anyone whose behavior endangers safety or negatively impacts a person, race, property or facility may be dismissed from participation without refund.

9. I understand that the race may be canceled or changed in the event of emergencies, disasters or severe weather.

10. I agree to indemnify Oregon School District, Oregon PTO, BKE PTO, FES PTO, its affiliates and assigns, from any and all third party claims caused in whole or part by my actions.

11. I have read and fully understand the above information, warning of risk, assumption of risk and waiver and release of all claims. If I am the parent/guardian of a minor participant, I have read through this waiver and all of its terms and I give my approval for my child's participation in the event. I assume all risks and hazards incidental to my child's participation and I waive, release, absolve, indemnify, and agree to hold harmless the Administrators of the race, for any injury to my child and from any and all claims and liabilities of any kind resulting from my child's participation. I grant permission for him/her to participate and acknowledge that I have read and agreed to the terms of the waiver.

Children under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and children under 12 are only permitted to participate in the race when accompanied by an adult.
