SOURCE Community Involvement Poster Competition
Mon, April 24 from 12 pm – 1:30 pm SON Carpenter Room
Please join us for SOURCE’s Community Involvement Student Poster Session Competition focusing on student engagement activities within Baltimore City. All student and student group submissions related to volunteerism, student group service, practicum, field placements, service-learning courses, SON COP, The Connection, and capstones conducted in partnership with Baltimore City non-profit organizations are welcome.

The 2017 student poster session will feature work from students and student groups from the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Public Health, Nursing, and Medicine. This event is part of SOURCE's National Volunteer Week celebration.

Gift Card Prizes Will Be Awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners

This poster session is exclusively for JHU health professional students.

The deadline to register to participate is Tuesday, April 18 by 11:59 pm. SOURCE will provide tri-fold corrugated project boards (36”H x 48”W) for the creation of student posters.

Posters should include:
• Project/Poster Title
• Name(s) of Student(s) Presenting
• School Affiliation(s) – Public Health, Medicine, Nursing
• Name and Brief Description of Partnering Community-Based Organization
• Community Engagement Activities
• Student Learning Outcomes
• Impact on Community Partner
• Use pictures to highlight community engagement activities! For pictures with people, there should be prior permission given from the individuals in the picture. You can ask the community organization you've worked with to see if they have a policy for photo release. Also, any pictures with youth will need parental permission. Evaluation Criteria to Be Used by Judges
• Technical: Legibility, Creativity, Overall Visual Appeal
• Content: Poster Includes all Required Content
• Oral Discussion: Student(s)’ Description of Poster, Ability to Respond to Questions
