Boozhoo - Kuira-bá (Hello)

The Indigenous Seed Keepers Network (ISKN) is inviting you and/or your collective to join our mailing list for quarterly regional meetings, funding opportunities, and other regional and national program offerings in support of the seed sovereignty movement.

ISKN is the connective tissue that aids and resources intertribal alliance building. Many folks in our network describe this vision as restoring our ancestral trade routes and networks. Please complete this form to be listed in our Network.

ISKN has been a peoples' movement and we have a firm understanding that our community partners are the network and we strive to resource your work. Below are some examples of  offerings we have given to our current ISKN Members:

  • Spring and Fall Growers Stipends
  • Microgrants for Capacity Building and Skill Share Gatherings
  • Annual Regional Network Gatherings
  • Listening Sessions
  • Quarterly Network Calls
  • NAFSA/ISKN Gathering Travel Stipends
About the Indigenous Seed Keepers Network

The mission of the Indigenous Seed Keepers Network (ISKN) is to nourish and assist the growing Seed Sovereignty Movement across Turtle Island (North America). As a national network, we leverage resources and cultivate solidarity and communication within the matrix of regional grass-roots tribal seed sovereignty projects. We accomplish this mission by providing:

  • Educational resources
  • Mentorship training
  • Outreach and advocacy support on seed policy issues
  • Organizing national and regional events and convenings to connect many communities who are engaging in this vital work

While we are completing strategic planning to further expand our programs across Turtle Island, ISKN currently maintains two regional networks, supported by part-time staff coordinators — the Upper Midwest and Southwest.

Both regions include Indigenous-led organizations, groups, collectives, individuals, or grassroots initiatives.

  • Upper Midwest: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota
  • Southwest: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah

Please sign up for the Listserv and indicate if you are in these established regions or would be interested in current national or potential future regional efforts. All Indigenous seed keepers are welcome to join ISKN.

For more information, please contact your regional coordinator.
