All students in Sixth Form must hold a minimum of five separate pass grades at GCSE (grade 4 or better):

Students with a predicted Average Point Score (APS) of lower than 6 - Please choose three subjects from the four option pools
If you have a predicted Average Point Score (APS) of between 6 and 8, you have the option to choose three subjects from the four option pools, plus Spanish or French at AS Level. For this option, you need to choose an options pathway that takes into account French or Spanish when selecting subjects from the options pools
Students with a predicted Average Point Score (APS) of 8 or more - You have the option to choose four subjects or three full A Level/equivalent

You should consider the entry criteria of the subjects carefully; be aspirational but realistic. The entry requirements can be found on our website. Any offer of study with us will be conditional and will only be confirmed once students have received their GCSE results.

Sixth Form at The King Edward VI School reserve the right to withdraw any subject where there is low student uptake.

It is recommended that this application form be completed by students and parents together, in collaboration and agreement.
