Regardless of their life circumstances, AVID students overcome obstacles and achieve success. They graduate and attend college at higher rates, but more importantly, they can think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations to confidently conquer the challenges that await them.
Avon Park High School AVID is looking for students who typically earn grades of C or higher, maintain a GPA of 2.0 and higher, have good attendance and behavior, and have a goal of college/career. AVID students should be open to feedback, working collaboratively, and be prepared to enroll in honors/AP courses with support.
