JALT Zoom for Professional Development (ZPD)
Thank you for your interest in the JALT ZPD!

Next ZPD: Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, 8 PM - 9 PM

Our next ZPD session is taking place on Tuesday, May 27th at 8pm. JALT Intercultural Communication in Language Education (ICLE) SIG is our host this month.  Their mission is to help develop us our students’ intercultural minds, raise their cultural awareness, and educate them for intercultural  understanding.  If you are interested in the topic, send your proposal for their collaborative conference Encounters at the Crossroads:  Intersections of Diverse Identities and Cultures. The submission deadline is May 30th.

Have you ever thought about representing JALT at one of our International Partner Conferences? Join the International Affairs Committee (IAC) Breakout Room at the next JALT Zoom for Professional Development session to learn more!

JALT's ZPD (Zoom for Professional Development) is a monthly, 1-hour networking event with several themed breakout rooms, including orientation for new and potential JALT members, getting published, teaching online, and more. Please join us for networking, informal chat, and in building a community of practice with JALT members and prospective members.  We'll break up into smaller groups to discuss those topics and, as usual, we will also have an orientation for new officers and new members, tips and best practices in teaching, getting published, Eikawa & ALT Issues, Online teaching, Hybrid teaching, PhDs and more.

This event is free and open to all. Join us!
