Thank you for choosing to take part in this confidential survey. We're gathering insights from parents of preschool-aged children (ages 18 months - 6 years) about their experiences navigating academic expectations for their child. 

If your child attended preschool in Singapore within the last 5 years, you are welcome to complete this survey.

Your responses will support our broader effort to ensure that early childhood education in Singapore is developmentally-appropriate and evidence-based. Please try to share as accurately as possible your child's daily schedule and your feelings about their academic preparation. Completing this survey should take about 10-12 minutes.

Every child is different: there is no single "right" way to parent. Just by taking an interest in these topics, you are already showing care and reflection that supports your child’s well-being.

GLOSSARY

Academic Tuition

Extra classes or 1:1 professional tutoring in academic subjects like English, Maths, Mother Tongue/ Second Language, or Third Language classes.

Enrichment

Extra classes in non-academic topics like coding, AI, painting, arts & crafts, and music.

Free Play

Unstructured, child-led play that occurs outside of organized classes or activities. As an example, kicking a ball on the playground with friends counts as “free play,” but attending soccer practice does not.
