StarFury 2nd OFMD Con - Gauge of Interest

We would like to demonstrate to StarFury that there is enough interest in repeating the Republic of Pirates (Our Flag Means Death) convention to make it cost effective and feasible for them. Please share far and wide!

Some information:

The event was held across a weekend, from 3pm Friday to 2am Monday, at a large hotel near Heathrow airport, London, UK.

The hotel cost roughly £115 per night when using the convention rate, but there was no obligation to stay at the venue. Local buses between Heathrow T2&3 and the venue cost less than £2 per journey.

There were regular and gold ticket types, priced at around £130 and £260

Gold ticket holders got a Meet&Greet, and autos included in the price, as well reserved seating in the main hall.

Photos ranged from £45-55 for a single guest, to £190 for a group shot with five guests.

Autos had to be paid in cash during the event and ranged from £20-30. Items could be brought from home or 8x10 glossy pictures were available for signing

Fan-meets ranged from £45-55 and took place during Q&A panels. Around 20 fans had a chat with a guest for about 20 mins

Q&A panels were about an hour long and took place with only one or two guests at a time, with no moderator and all questions coming from the fans.

Meet&Greet for gold ticket holders was a speed-dating style event where groups of roughly 10 fans sat around a table, and guests came to spend about 5 mins chatting with each table in turn.

There were themed parties every evening, as well as a cosplay competition judged by the guests. All guests were onstage together during opening and closing events.

Please bear in mind that these prices were for the 2024 event and are likely to change (increase) for any future event. Obviously all details may change in the future.
