Not1More is carrying out a research project to document evidence of injustices caused by Protest Injunctions. We are researching across campaigns including environmental, anti-arms, and animal rights with a particular focus on the last 5 years.
How you can contribute to this research:
We are speaking directly to activists and campaign groups affected by injunctions to gather this research.
- Fill in this google form with as much information as you like (you can fill in the form and be interviewed!)
- Interviews will take part online or in person (depending on location).
- Sharing relevant court documents e.g relating to adverse costs
How will this research be used?
- A published report: our research is movement-led and intended to support advocacy of grassroots / activists groups and NGOs.
- Submitted as evidence in legal cases: Friends of the Earth have made an application to the European Court of Human Rights to bring a legal case challenging the use of Protest Injunctions in the UK. If the case is accepted by the ECHR, Not1More will make an application to intervene and provide our research as evidence to the case.
A bit about Not1More
Not1More supports Environmental Defenders globally. We work in Cambodia, Guinea Bissau, Brazil and the UK. In the UK, Not1More is focused on defending the right to protest. We campaign against the use of Protest Injunctions and recently launched a toolkit on Protest Injunctions to help campaigners navigate the risks and make more informed decisions about how they protest.
