De-Kopitiam: Group Art Therapy for Caregivers (19 October 2021 - 30 November 2021 every Tuesday @ 7.30pm)
Caring for a loved one can be challenging. The energies of the caregivers tend to focus on the needs of their loved ones. In the course of caregiving, the needs of the caregivers may be neglected. The art therapy sessions offer the opportunity for caregivers to be more aware of themselves and explore healthier coping skills.
Conducted by Art Therapist Ms Audrey Chan
“When human beings experience life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel”.
Audrey is an art therapist and a social worker. She holds a Masters in Art Therapy from Singapore
LASALLE College of the Arts and a degree in Social Work from National University of Singapore (NUS).
She has over 11 years of experience working in the medical setting with diverse clients, including both
long term and brief interventions.
Audrey’s passion is to provide a space to bring healing to people who been through stressful
experiences. She knows that no single approach is right one for every individual, however she finds
that the language of art speaks to us in ways that words cannot. She hopes that through art, it can
provide the space to enhance life through self-expression.
