The Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) and Preserve NY Grant Programs are a regrant partnership of the New York State Council on the Arts and the Preservation League of New York State made possible
with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. Generous support is provided by the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation to support projects on Long Island, and the Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area provides additional support for TAG in the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
Please note:
- TAG and PNY Grants are open to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit
arts and cultural organizations and municipalities ONLY.
- TAG and PNY grants are not available to private
property owners, nonprofits other than 501(c)(3), religious organizations,
libraries, community centers, Friends groups that do not have a long-term lease
on the resource, cemetery associations, fraternal organizations, and school
districts.
- TAG and PNY grants are unable to fund NYS-owned sites,
religious institutions, school districts, and private property.
- TAG and PNY grants support historic preservation planning
studies that jump-start preservation projects. This program funds consulting
reports only and will not fund capital repairs or construction costs,
architectural plans and specifications, schematic designs, or construction
documents.
