Material and Supplies Fee
There is a $350 dollar donation per student that is recommended in order to help cover some of the materials, entry fees for competitions, merchandise, and other team expenses.  Robot parts cost about $40,000-60,000 per year and entry fees will be around $18,000 this year, in addition to other expenses.  If you are able to contribute more, it would be greatly appreciated.  Note that there are usually additional costs for students who attend competitions to cover food and hotel ($100-300 depending on the tournament distance). Financial support is also provided through sponsors, grants, and other fundraising activities.  If you are unable to contribute the full amount or any amount, don't worry, we will locate sponsors for scholarships. Most importantly, we want everyone to be able to participate in Octobots!
