Thank you for your interest in being a mentor in the WiMIR mentoring program!

The Women in Music Information Retrieval (WiMIR) group of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval (www.ismir.net) organizes this program to connect women, trans, and non-binary students, postdocs, and early-stage researchers and faculty to more senior women and allies in MIR who are dedicated to promoting the role of, and increasing opportunities for, underrepresented community members. As a woman or ally of the WiMIR community, you are likely aware of the challenges faced by other genders in predominantly male fields. This program gives you the opportunity to share your insights while helping a member of your community maximize their opportunities for success.

Time commitment: Four remote meetings with your mentee between January and end of July 2022, with the first meeting to take place in the early February 2022.

Deadline to apply is December 17, 2021.
Matches will be announced by mid-January 2022.
