Build-A-Bike Interest Form 2017
Thanks for your interest in our classes! Here is a brief description of our educational offerings. By filling out the form below, you will be contacted with periodic updates on the days & times for our upcoming sessions.
Build-A-Bike is the class we run most frequently. It is usually a six-session, in-depth mechanics workshop, designed to give individuals the hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of bicycle repair on all bicycle systems. A great depth of information will be covered in each three-hour class. If you are interested in signing up for a future class please complete the form below and we will send you our class newsletter four times a year.

Cost: $200
Schedule: Twice weekly, 3 weeks, 3 hours per session

Workshop Topics include:
O Diagnosing Problems
O Crank & wheel removal, frame cleaning
O Overhauling bottom brackets & headsets
O Hub overhauls
O Wheel truing, fixing flats
O Brakes system assessment and adjustment
O Shift system assessment and derailleur adjustment

Note: Additional time may be needed to complete the bike-build, and students are welcome to work on their projects
during our Open Shop hours: Tues 5-8pm, Sat 10-2pm

Commuter Bike Maintenance
Commuter Bike Maintenance is a one-session, 2.5 hour class that we run periodically.
This class will cover the ABC Quick Check, a safety check you can perform before any bike ride. This class will also demonstrate a few, cost-saving maintenance skills, like greasing your chain, patching a flat and adjusting your brake pads, that will help keep your bike riding smoothly and prevent you from needing more expensive repairs.
