ECD Testing - Notification
Regulation No. 7, Part D, Section II.B.2.h requires performance testing for enclosed combustion devices (ECD) statewide. Section II.B.2.h.(iii) requires notification (no later than July 31, 2022) to the Air Pollution Control Division by owners or operators of ECD(s) that are subject to Section II.B.2.h.(ii) and that commenced operation before December 31, 2021.

Use this form to fulfill the notification requirements of Section II.B.2.h.(iii). No later than July 31, 2022, complete and submit a form for each individual ECD.

If you own or operate multiple ECDs, after submitting the form select the option to "Submit another response" to report another ECD. Only ECDs that commenced operation before December 31, 2021 need to be included in this notification.

Pflichtfrage
Has the ECD completed an initial performance test to satisfy Reg. 7 Part D Section II.B.2.h.(ii)(B)? *
If the ECD has completed the initial performance test, what date was the test completed?
Datum
What were the results of the initial performance test? (i.e., Pass or Fail, and %DRE measured)
Do you consider the ECD to be "intermittent flow" or  "low-flow"?     "Intermittent flow" is when waste gas from the controlled equipment is sent to the ECD non-continuously, such as from periodic dump events from a storage tank.   "Low-flow" is when the waste gas has a small continuous volumetric flow rate from the controlled equipment that may make reaching full test-run time possible. *
The Division is developing a standard protocol for traditional combustor testing methods. Once available, do you plan on using this standard protocol for this ECD?   If not, you will be required to develop a site-specific testing protocol subject to review by the Division prior to testing.  Please note that the standard protocol may not be appropriate for "intermittent flow" and/or "low flow" scenarios.
