The following outlines the camp contentWe need a minimum 14 - 20 players to enable the camp to go ahead.
The on rink skill areas that are covered;- Skating- Puck Control- Passing- Shooting- Heads up hockey
The off rink focus;- Hand-eye co-ordination- Multi-tasking- Strength and conditioning- Team work
Because the programs are based around skill development HockeyWise are able to cater for a wide range of player ages and ability levels in both the on rink and off rink sessions.
CAMP STRUCTURE (draft)9:00am - Arrive and meet with all players9:10am - Off rink warm up - all players9:30am - Gear up9:45am - On rink - All players (1.25hrs)11:00am - Gear down and stretch11:30am - Lunch12:45pm - Off rink active session (45mins)2:00pm - Group 1 on rink (1hr plus cool down and stretch)3:15pm - Group 2 on rink (1hr plus cool down and stretch) - This is usually the older group and can go for longer in this session.On the second day HockeyWise normally start with a team building activity then an off rink theory session, then similar to the above without the active off rink session.
